Structural Parameters Optimization of the Steel Bar Straightening Machine Based on the PSO Algorithm

In the process of steel bar straightening processing, rollers are often damaged by fatigue due to uneven force, which causes frequent replacement rollers. Therefore, structural parameters optimization machine is very important improve machining accuracy and prolong service life roller. this paper, an method based on particle swarm (PSO) algorithm was proposed used optimize machine. First, main that affect were comprehensively analysed, range each parameter determined. Second, in order minimize fluctuation contact stress, objective function established fitting roller spacing, diameter, number, so on. Then, PSO find optimal solution parameters. Finally, verified practice compared with single variable algorithm. As a result, straightness increased 2.88%, total force reduced 16.25%, conclusion, it demonstrated better than optimizing
